TEACH ME TUESDAY- SOCCER SKILLS AND SELF DEFENCE

It was another great "Teach me Tuesday" session today. Hugh and Troy prepared two very fun lessons. First we learnt some basic "Choi Kwang do" moves where Hugh showed us how to block, punch and kick. Next we practised our soccer skills with Troy. We started by practising our kicking and shooting skills and then we finished with a game. Thanks guys- it was great!!!

JUMP JAM WITH THE BREEZE FM!

We had a great time this morning when Jeannette and Robert from "The Breeze" radio station joined us for Jump Jam as part of their fitness efforts for "Junk Free June". Our Jump Jam leaders did a great job leading us through our moves and we certainly raised the heart rates of "The Breeze" hosts!!! Thanks everyone for joining in and Jump Jamming for Junk free June!!! Here's the radio clip featuring two of our students, Grace and Hunter.

Here's a video of the event too!!

Teach me Tuesday- Logic puzzles and drawing!

Today we had three more highly successful Teach me Tuesday lessons!

Jake started off with a really tricky logic riddle. With a few clues we were off! Here's the first riddle- can you solve it???

Teach Me Tuesday Logic Riddle
Look at the following most carefully, as every line counts:
Be gone in times of death’s long passing.
Henry Atwood sliced his neck.
Hath reeds knocked against thee?
If our fathers knew, then winds, they blew.
The sixth of candles burned my eyes.
  Horrors even among us.
Leigh tries to eat a stone.
The canine or the cat, it spat.
Pay attention to the ghoul that weeps.
Your number’s up, and it is missing. Wary the word second.

Then later in the day Olivia and Sam split the class and took two drawing lessons. Sam taught how to draw anime people and Olivia taught how to draw animals.

Great teaching guys!! We love Teach me Tuesdays!!!
