UHPS CROSS COUNTRY

After five weeks of training we had School Cross Country today. We all did our best and finished the course. Many people placed in their age group race. 

Congratulations to Logan (1st- 9 year girls), and Leanne (3rd- 9 year girls). 

Congratulations to Brianna (1st- 10 year girls), Ella (2nd- 10 year girls), Brydie (3rd- 10 year girls) and Beau (5th- 10 year girls). 

Also congratulations to Taylor (5th- 9 year boys), and Sam (6th- 10 year boys). 

Well done everyone- you really showed resilience and perserverance!!

Teach Me Tuesday's back again!

Today it was the first "Teach Me Tuesday" for Term 2. We had another amazing session with two very capable teachers.

Sam started by teaching us the basics of how to play tennis. We started by stretching and then he gave us a few tips about how to hold a tennis racquet and how to hit the tennis ball. It was a lot of fun-Thanks Sam! 

Next, Maci told us all about a day in the life in an American school. 
It was really interesting learning about the differences in the schooling systems and routines. We had heaps of questions for Maci. 

We're already looking forward to next Teach Me Tuesday!
